Wizardry Online Game Review: Wizardry Online is a free to play Massively multiplayer online role-playing game, developed and created in Japan by Gamepot. The game is based on the classic Wizardry computer games, originally created by Sir-Tech. In June, 2012, Sony Online Entertainment made an announcement that Wizardy Online would publish outside of Japan. Closed beta testing began on 29th of October, 2012.
Wizardry Online GamePlay: Like many Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing games, players are able to create their own character & explore the game world. They can advance in an open world with other players that are connected. A player can also create a character, using a variety of race, class or attribute combinations those are found commonly in most Massively multiplayer online role-playing game. A dangerous addition to the gameplay is the potential for permanent death known as "Permadeath". Upon character death, you will have a chance of losing your character forever. You can easily reduced the chance of losing your character by sacrificing items. Wizardry Online features 5 races including Human, Elf, Porkul, Dwarf, and Gnome. The game presents four classes including Fighter, Priest, Mage, and Thief. Similar to previous versions of Wizardy games, a new character receives a random number of bonus points they can assign to attributes. Each given class has a requirement for a number of points in a one or more attributes to select that class. Throughout the game you'll be able to change your class. There is also a PvP mode, where players can attack any other player in dungeons or towns at any time & the same permadeath consequences can also apply. Player characters that have been slain either by other players or monsters can be looted of their belongings by other players. The idea of having a single soul for a bank of characters is an interesting idea. It allows certain experiences of one to be applied to all. The game talks about cooperation and it has plenty of situations that require grouping, the overall atmosphere of the game does not encourage it. If you die & another player finds your body before you get back to a Rez point, they will steal everything you've. The only items safe from them are those you buy from the Cash shop.
