Tomb Raider 2013 Video Game Review: Tomb Raider 2013 is an action plus adventure platform game. Developed by Square Enix, Tomb Raider 2013 is the 5th title made by Crystal Dynamics in the Tomb Raider series. As the 1st entry in a new Tomb Raider legacy, this game is a reboot that focus on the reconstructed origins of the culturally influential lead game character named Lara Croft. Tomb Raider 2013 Video Game Story: The game starts with Croft setting out on her 1st expedition aboard the ship named (Endurance), to recover the lost Japanese kingdom of Yamatai, which was said to be the home of the legendary shaman queen Himiko (or Sun Queen) and said to hold mysterious powers. Along with her are Joslyn Reyes (the ship's mechanic), Sam Nishimura(she is Lara's best friend and the mission's amerawoman) , Alex (a computer pro), Jonah Maiava(a fisherman),Conrad Roth (who is an old friend of the Croft family and ex-Royal Marine), Angus Grimaldi (the helmsman) and Doctor James Whitman(who is a celebrity archeologist in need to make a big find to avoid bankruptcy). Against Whitman's advice, this team starts looking in the Dragon's Triangle, a place famous for missing ships and violent sea storms. The ship gets struck by a rising storm and is divided in two parts, stranding everybody on a deserted island. Lara Croft attempts to reach the rest of the team, but is made captive by an unknown savage man and gets trapped inside his cave dwelling. Tomb Raider 2013 Video Game GamePlay: Tomb Raider 2013 is an open environment game that fuses action & adventure, (with craft system, skills upgrades, character progression and side-missions), exploration, survival tactics and exploration techniques. According to Karl Stewart the game's campaign will last between twelve and fifteen hours. Along with the primary story, gamers will have the opportunity to do various side objectives, exploring the island, revisit positions and look for challenge tombs. The 4th episode of The Final Hours of Tomb Raider, which went on-air on YouTube in January, declared that this title would contain multiplayer gaming features. The multiplayer gaming mode was developed by Canadian video games development studio called Eidos Montreal ( which is famous for the game Deus Ex Human Revolution) . The game's developers claimed, that there shall be 3 types of games for multiplayer gaming, played in 5 different in-game maps. Various things available for the single-player game campaign are also integrated into multiplayer function. In each game, there are 2 opponent groups having 4 scavengers and 4 survivors, and they either try to take out the opposing group or at least bring medical provisions to certain positions in the map. The gamer can also set-up booby traps or initiate specific features, according to the map in which the game is set.
Tomb Raider 2013 Video Game Ratings: Tomb Raider 2013 game has been awarded with acclaim, with most of the critics agreeing that it is a solid and long-overdue reboot for the Tomb Raider franchise. In a (world exclusive) game review, GamesMaster magazine granted this game a rating of ninety percent and also the (Games Master Gold award which is given to those games that achieve a score of ninety percent or above that).
