Bang Bang Download: Bang Bang Racing a racing game is developed by both Playbox and Digital Reality while published by Digital Reality. It was initially launched as Bang Bang Racing THD for Android devices in May 2011. Bang Bang Racing was released in June 2012 for Microsoft Windows, PS3 through the PlayStation Network and Xbox 360 using the Xbox Live Arcade. It got mixed critical responses. Some thought that the game's focus on car racing and side lining Mario Kart style weaponry gave it simplistic fun, yet criticized the local only multiplayer.This game is played from a top down perspective. The game's only objective is to finish before all other race drivers. It has a compacted art style like the older top-down racing games as R.C. Pro-Am, Super Sprint and Super Off Road. Along with single player races 4 player split screen gaming is also offered and scores can be accessed via online reader boards. Tracks, vehicles and liveries are unlocked in the single player mode of the game and these unlocked features carry over to the local multiplayer.Andr�s Tim�r-Geng,currently the Lead Designer at Digital Reality said that the game is focused on family friendly racing. The top-down perspective suits perfectly to the friendly cars and environment", according to Tim�r-Geng, he also added that the top-down view distances it from other racing games titles. The development team decided that rather than making a combat racing game like the Mario Kart series they would just focus on maintain the simplicity of the gameplay as far as possible"so as to honor the greatest old top-down racers." The game portrays 4 different classes of race vehicles, each with their own unique features including Protect, N-Dura, Evo GT and Apex. In each race class five different race cars are offered which total up to 20 cars. Each vehicle also offers 8 different paint liveries. Nine race tracks are available, and each can be played in a reverse mode if one wishes. Additionally every track has many shortcut layouts with a  total of 54 unique patterns.Bang Bang Racing got mixed reviews from critical sources. The Xbox 360 version stands at an aggregate score of 58 out of 100 at Meta-critic and if we look at Game Rankings Bang Bang Racing has a score of 57.62% there. Meta-critic scores were not given for the Microsoft Windows and PS 3 versions, however Game Rankings issued aggregate score of forty percent for the PS3 and sixty six percent for Microsoft Windows. Android version of Bang Bang Racing got no aggregate scores. The Android version of the game were give a little better reviews. Will Wilson from Pocket Gamer considered game a 6/10. Wilson praised the solid racing mechanics but at the same time noted that the game suffered a slowdown on certain platforms. He was disappointed with the lack of multiplayer.
