X-Plane 8 Download For PC

X-Plane 8 Game Review: X-Plane 8 is a flight simulator video game. X-Plane 8 features  difficult customization, a clumsy interface, & an overall lack of polish prevent X-Plane from truly challenging the dominance of Microsofts Flight Simulator series.

X-Plane 8 GamePlay: The player will experienced with other flight sims should be able to jump right into X-Plane 8's familiar cockpits & be flying around in no time. The game responds to control inputs better than Flight Simulator, more forgiving, & is much less over-sensitive, specially with keyboard input. The weather is handled unlike any other flight simulator. Real time weather affects your aircraft rather than just changing the way the game looks. The player will experience wind shear & turbulence effects as he flies into bad weather. The game also allows the player to fly literally anything that has carried humans into the atmosphere. Aircraft range from the ubiquitous Cessna & Boeing 747s to the Hindenburg & the Space Shuttle. Helicopters and Fighter Aircrafts are also included just in case the player run out of aircraft. In the game, the player is free to design his own simulator if he mastered the one. Included with the package are applications that are custom-build aircraft, airfoils & terrain. The X-Plane 8 world is populated with other aircraft while the player's cockpit is filled with the sounds of them contacting approach control. The ATC is handled better in X-Plane as well. The execution of some of the features leaves very little to be desired. In X-Plane 8, the customization tools are difficult to use, & seem tacked-on as an afterthought of the marketing department. The player can design an aircraft by using spin controls to change hundreds of numerical values. The games control scheme also leaves a bad taste. Using the mouse and keyboard is doable, even though clicking the mouse in the windscreen accidentally can send the player's airplane into an unrecoverable dive. While using keyboard, the player will have to program nearly every button.

X-Plane 8 Graphics: X-Plane 8 features the best graphics to date for a PC flight sim. The buildings look much better than Flight Simulator. The draw-rate does not seem to be as far reaching as Flight Simulator, so it looks hazy, but there are no redraw-delays to take the player out of the feel. In X-Plane 8, the cockpits are fabulously rendered & are animated much smoother than in Flight Simulator. The weather effects are wonderfull. Clouds, rain, & snow look photorealistic as does watching the sun rise or set.

X-Plane 8 Sound: The cockpit chatter & cockpit warning are as the player would expect in real aircraft. In X-Plane 8, the engines & other aircraft sounds are very realistic.
